Rose Rodriguez has been promoted to Student Ministry Director! She has faithfully served our ministry over the last two years and has done an incredible job leading.

My name is Rose Rodriguez. I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 27 years and have four amazing daughters. My family started attending HNW in January 2020. Very early in 2021, my husband and I started serving HNW Students as small-group leaders. It was in August 2021 that I started working for HNW as a Student Ministry Assistant.
At our previous church, Jason and I served as student ministry directors for over 20 years in both the local church and at a district level, which consisted of churches from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. Our primary role was to support the local church student ministry leaders and lead camps and retreats.
There are so many reasons why Jason and I love ministering to students and their families, and it can sometimes be difficult to put into words. What I can say is that serving students provides us with a front-row seat to watching young people grow in their relationship with Jesus. We consider it a privilege to be able to remind them along the way of God’s unconditional love for them and to encourage them as they grow into the identity that God has already declared over them. Serving students keeps us grounded, and I’m always thankful when I’m invited to join in on the conversations when students ask the tough questions or when they invite me to play a game. Even though I might get hit with a ball, it’s all good. I still recover well. LOL
In addition to serving students, I love spending time with my family, checking out all the cool spots in Houston and as a native Texan I feel obligated to rate restaurants by their sweet tea. Since both Jason and I are from San Antonio, we frequently visit our extended family there, but above all, we are honored to be a part of what God is doing at HNW as we lean into God's calling in our lives.
