These days it often feels like civility, honor, and kindness are in short supply. Anger, vitriol, and divisiveness often rule the day, instead. But what if there was a message that could transform that reality, that could create a space where good will ruled the day instead? The stunning truth is that indeed has happened, and it is active among us today. Join us as we explore Psalm 23 and rediscover the message of Good Will Toward Men.

Advent Devotional.

Advent is a special time of year when we spend time each day remembering the importance of the Christmas season. Come along with us this Advent season as we remember the hope, peace, joy, and love God brought to the world through the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

This year the Advent Devotional was written by a variety of HNW staff and church attenders. We are excited for you to see the way the Lord spoke through the various voices of our church body to encourage you through Advent.

A special thank you to our writers Aaron Iacopelli, Aaron Lloyd, Adrian Cazares, Audrey Williams, Jared McGuire, Mindy O'Bannon, Rohan Mundle and Sarah Delp for using the talents the Lord has entrusted you with to serve our church!

Christmas Eve Services.

December 23 | 4 & 6 PM
December 24 | 4 & 6 PM

Before each service in The Commons, we will have family-friendly activities, including hot cocoa and cookies, snapping family photos, and a live nativity!

All four Christmas Eve services are identical and will be streamed live via YouTube, Facebook, and HNW.org/live. Christmas Eve is a family service where kids of all ages and stages join their family! We have an element for kids at the beginning  of the service, a goody bag for during and lighting candles at the end.

First time guests.

If Christmas Eve is your first time at Houston Northwest Church, we want to help make your first visit a breeze, from parking to what to wear, to what service will look like. Click here for all that and more!

Christmas Eve Offering.

We're giving it all away!

This year at Houston Northwest Church, we are partnering with Undue Medical Debt (Formally, RIP Medical Debt), whose purpose is to strengthen communities by erasing financially burdensome medical debt. Your gift will go toward erasing medical debt in Harris County. Join us in meeting our goal of $30,000.

Any contributions received above and beyond our goal will go toward the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering which supports missionaries with the International Mission Board.

Serve with us on Christmas Eve.

Christmas brings many new faces to our church, so our need for volunteers for Christmas Eve services increases! If you're interested in helping each person to feel seen and cared for and to leave with a lasting impression of what it looks like to love like Jesus we would love your help!

Whether you’re serving Christmas cookies, holding a door, passing out candles, or sharing a Bible with a new believer, each role plays an important part in showing people Jesus.
